Cyberbullying is on the rise and needs to be taken serious. Below you will find a 2 minute video on cyberbullying and what steps you can take so that you don’t become a victim.

Did you know that the Escobedo website has a bullying prevention area under the Counseling and Guidance tab (scroll way down)? You can even report a bully using the Report Form on our website.

Just found out about this awesome website. You type in a song or artist that you like, then that song or artist is played along with music similar to that type of music. You can skip songs you don’t want to hear and the best part- no commercials. Try it out… I’m hooked.

Christmas Wishes

With Christmas around the corner, I am wondering what is on your wish list? I found two interesting articles that talk about The Top 10 Tech Gadgets for Teens and The Top Christmas Gifts for Teens (see links below). Is there anything listed that you want or already have? Anything I should buy for my 14 year old son? I see a Flip Camera on the second link and I must admit that I would like one for myself. We have a few at school and I like their portability and ease of use. Also, a digital picture frame and a Kindle would be on my personal wish list (also on the second link). Anything missing from these articles that you would add? Just wondering… And by the way, the Twilight book is listed. If you were wondering what is #1 on my Christmas list, well that’s easy- love and happiness. The best gifts are the gifts that you give from the heart!

Help Me Do the Math…

So I bought a new home computer the other day. I had a friend over and was telling him about it. When I told him it had a 640GB hard drive, he was shocked! We were trying to figure out how many movies (an average) that I could archive on that huge hard drive. So my question to you is “How many average length movies could I keep on my computer assuming that I compressed the files first?” The person who comes up with the closest estimate will get a prize from me. Get calculating…

I am a computer nerd, I admit it… I love the newest and coolest technology on the market. What gadget do you have that you couldn’t live with out? What are the pros and cons of this item? How does it simplify your life? Convince me that I need to run out and buy it. I may already have it and if not, I may have to take your advice and purchase this must have device.
