Movie Monday
On Monday, May 4th the library will host our next Movie Monday at lunch. Come down, have lunch, and enjoy a movie on the big screen. We are in the process of deciding what to show. If you have an idea of a good rated G movie or show (30 minutes or less- preferred), please respond to this post ASAP. Remember movie theater etiquette will be strictly enforced. Admission is free and only the first 100 students will be admitted. Hope to see you there!
*The following Movie Monday will be April 27th. Any rated G video suggestions? Movies that are 30 minutes or less are best.

I’m glad you like Movie Monday! November 24th will be our next Movie Monday. I’m looking for something about friendship or family for the next movie to celebrate Thanksgiving. Any ideas? Must be rated G.

A rated G movie is hard to find at times. I’m not sure but I think Shiloh is rated G. Any way I love Movie Monday! Me and my friends love to just relax when we’re in the library. it’s a great place to be.

Hmmmm, so only rated G. Well thats a tough one. Im sad that eventually after twilight comes out for dvd we cant watch it in the library, that would get alot of people to start reading the twilight sereis.

G rated movies can be difficult to find but there are some great ones out there. Many people have suggested Charlie Browns Thanksgiving. I love that cartoon! I remember watching it every year as a child, teenager, and now as an adult with my own children. Any other ideas? Shiloh is a good one too but lunch is only 30 minutes long. As for Twilight, let’s wait to see when the movie comes out on DVD and go from there.

Mrs. Baca,
i was in the library at 6th period and you said we are viewing a movie in December. so i think we should watch the cartoon version of, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. That would be a pretty good one
November 18th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” would be a good one. But, what would be better would be the Spongebob Christmas themed episode. The only problem is that I don’t know where to find it
.

I like the Spongebob idea. Does someone out there have this DVD and would let us use it on December 15th?
November 30th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
Mrs. Baca,
A good idea for a “G” rated movie(i hope it is) is WALLE
December 1st, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Wall E is too long of a movie to show at lunch. We only have 30 minutes. I would like to stick with movies that we can finish at lunch that day. Thanks for the idea. I may rent it and watch it with my own kids.

Well, if you are going to save the valentine’s thing for February, you could watch the Spongebob episode with a snowball fight between Spongebob and Patrick
. I believe it is called “Snowbuddies” but don’t quote me on that. And if I owned it I would loan it to you, but I don’t
. (one of these days I’ll find a Spongebob you guys can watch that I can let you borrow)

Emily- you read my mind, I wanted to find a Spongebob video to show. I went to Blockbuster yesterday and looked for a Valentine’s Spongebob DVD. The closest one that I could find was In Love with Patties. I’ll keep looking- just for you. I wonder if iTunes has it???
January 15th, 2009 at 11:31 am
I have seen a lot of spongebob episodes
but i havent seen spongebob valentines day!!!
January 15th, 2009 at 2:05 pm
It would suprise me if iTunes didn’t have it, Mrs. Baca. There is this one valentine’s day episode of Spongebob, and Patrick wears this sweater with a heart on it and they go ot a carnival…but they really don’t show it a lot on T.V. and I have no clue what its called…sorry
January 15th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
Emily- guess what- I found it on iTunes.
I’ve already downloaded it for only $1.99. The episode is 23 minutes long (perfect) and it is called Valentine”s Day/The Paper. So that will be our feature for January (since it is near Valentine’s Day).
January 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Kevin- well I guess you will get to see it now. I assume- you like Spongebob???
January 18th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Spongebob is cool, i watched almost all his episodes. I’m not a huge fan though….
January 20th, 2009 at 10:16 am
Hope to see you at lunch on Movie Monday, even if you are not a huge Spongebob fan.
January 20th, 2009 at 1:59 pm
spongebob is a cute idea but i wish we could find like good movies to watch like other than cartoons because you would get more viewers thAt way i think. some people like cartoons and some dont. play it up a little:) i am not saying i dont love cartoojns because i do but some of my friends dont.
January 21st, 2009 at 9:44 am
Cassi, I agree, we need to find a video that is not a cartoon. The problem is that we only have 25 minutes to show it and it needs to be rated G. My homework to you is to find us a video for next month that fits that criteria.
February 12th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
i think you did my homework for me… lol… travis pastrana is a great idea and so are the music videos but are they g rated??… and any sports thing is good too
… thats an ugly smiley.sorry<<<<3
February 12th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Hi Mrs. Baca,
Well, I was searching for G rated movies when I remebered a Charlie Brown’s Valentine’s and It was only 23 minutes long. I know you have already picked February’s movie but I really enjoy this one.
February 17th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
spongebob is scary!
February 18th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Cassi- believe it or not, I think we may be able to find some G rated videos. So there is some more homework for you- find us three G rated videos that we could show for the next Movie Monday.
February 18th, 2009 at 9:31 am
Madison- I love the Charlie Brown’s Valentine cartoon but we’ve had some requests to take a break from the cartoons. I think the extreme sports video will be a nice change. I’m curious about the different crowd that we may draw in this time. A lot of students seem interested in these sports, as well as myself.
February 18th, 2009 at 9:31 am
So Evan why does Spongebob scare you?
February 19th, 2009 at 11:46 am
I love dirt biking and travis Pastrana I want to come in and watch it hopefully we will be able to watch quad fathers even though it is not dirt biking but it is still like dirt biking.

I think that it was a great idea to have a movie monday what it does is invites more people in the library and not just cause the movie because how the library is and i think its a good idea and you should do the same thing next year.
