Student Book Recommendation

Katie S.

The Devils Arithmetic

By: Jane Yolen

In The Devil’s Arithmetic Hannah is on her way to celebrate Passover with her family, because they are Jewish. She didn’t want to go with her family because she didn’t really like her religion and heritages traditions. When she gets there,  they play a traditional game, by opening the door she travels through time, where she ends up in a small village located in Poland around the time Nazi’s were there. She gets put in a concentration camp and she finally realizes what her family went through.
